No one ever thinks the next time they step on the wave will be their last—especially not on the board they’re riding. But one ride later, with a broken board in hand, the journey of Bro Bro Boards unexpectedly began.
To tell the full story, we need to jump back in time a few years. At that point, I didn’t even own my own personal flowboard. I was borrowing a board from one of the locals at my home wave. Then, in a split second, the board snapped and was no longer rideable. After a quick chat (and a slightly panicked apology) with the owner, I jokingly said, “We could make one of these!”
As it turns out, that joke was the spark that lit the fuse.
From that moment, Bro Bro Boards started to take shape. I spent the next several months researching, sketching ideas, studying construction methods, and trying to figure out how to build a board without spending a fortune. I set a strict budget, determined to stay under it—and equally determined to avoid paying the high price most boards were going for.
Little did I know that this passion project would end up costing me five to ten times more than buying a brand-new board.
But it was worth every penny.
Today, Bro Bro Boards is built on that same spirit of curiosity, passion, and refusal to take the easy route. What began with a broken board and a joke has grown into a mission: crafting high-quality flowboards and custom boards for riders who want something better, something personal, and something built with real heart.
